In order to ensure that the duct manufacturer actually manufactures and/or assembles in accordance with the Luka quality standards, the association has concluded an agreement with TÜV Certification that, through independent external audits by TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V., guarantees the applied performance of the ductwork. Quality assurance officers from TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V. carry out regular checks on compliance with the standards.
If Luka members do not meet the quality standards, sanctions can be imposed which are included in the contract and to which the Luka members have agreed unconditionally. Through constant monitoring by TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V., it is possible for Luka to issue a "Quality Certificate" for the projects carried out by Luka members (see annex). But the cooperation between the Luka association and TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V. extends further. In case technical questions arise, Luka can make use of the technical knowledge, experience, measuring equipment and laboratories of TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V., in order to treat the subject by means of a theoretical approach and/or practical testing. Representatives of TÜV Rheinland Nederland B.V. regularly visit the meetings of the "Committee Environment andTechnology" (CET) and assist this committee with advice and assistance.
